The way a house looks perfectly reflects the people who live in it. A clean and tidy home is one in which everyone feels good, reigns good mood and, above all, it lacks the factors that could affect the health of those who live there. Here’s what you need to do to have a truly safe home.
Get rid definitively of one of the most dangerous enemies who hide in your house
Doctors have repeatedly drawn attention of the dangers to which we expose ourselves if we have mold in the house. What is more worrying is that when you see it you should know that is installed in your home for a long time. The spores in the house can affect your health before those unsightly formations appear on the walls, so you must always act preventive with such a mineral solution. It lets the walls breathe, so moisture won’t condense and lead to mold formation.
The mold already formed can be removed by commercially solutions designed for it, or with a mixture of 100 ml of vinegar 100 ml of water, 10 ml of hydrogen peroxide, the juice of one lemon and 2 tablespoons baking soda. You should know, however, that as long as you consider not taking measures to prevent it, it will reappear shortly after you removed.
Kitchen sponge, the place where millions of pathogenic bacteria hide
A study quoted by the British newspaper The Daily Mail revealed that kitchen sponge is one of the dirtiest things in our house. Because we use it daily to clean the plates, table or counter top, it should disinfected better.
What you have to do? Simply replace it as often as possible or disinfect it by putting it in the microwave for 30 seconds. Do not forget to moisten it a little before you enter it into the oven, otherwise it will burn.
Effectively remove dust on long-term
The dust contains many substances from mold spores than we talked about above, to human flaky skin, bacteria and dust mites. It can cause allergies and respiratory problems, especially for children, so should be removed entirely from your home.
Dust every week with a microfiber cloth. Move everything from the furniture – is more effective when you clean. Clean the vacuum bag after each use and vacuum the entire house once a week (including drapes, curtains and sofas). It is important to remove old things that you no longer use, they make the cleaning process more difficult and gather dust.
Banish mites that hide in mattress
The mattress is not among the cleanest things, but it deserves attention. It is not hard to clean it well. Just disperse baking soda on its surface, let it act 15-20 minutes, then vacuum thoroughly the surface. Never use water to clean a liquid because it reaches the deepest layer of the mattress and moisture is the perfect environment for dust mites. Remember to change your bedding often and leave the mattress uncovered to be well ventilated.
Bath towels and bed linen can hide a lot of bacteria, so they must be cleaned properly. What does that entail? Always wash them at very high temperatures (at least 60 degrees) and change them as often as possible. Use the cotton program because lasts longer and sanitize better.
