How to clean your entire house with 4 eco ingredients

You do not need any cleaning product commercially available that are highly toxic to the body. I am sure that you have all the ingredients at home, you just need to discover and know how to use them for cleaning.

Did you know that 20,000 children under six years suffer from poisoning, respiratory and digestive infections caused by inhaling chlorine in the house, as the reports of hazardous substances control centers show? And not only children are affected by toxic substances from industrial products that we use to disinfect and clean surfaces. Did you notice a slight dizziness after you have disinfected your bath with chlorine without being careful to be well ventilated? It is no wonder given that the smell of chlorine is extremely strong, hard, irritating and can cause: various respiratory diseases that can degenerate into asthma, throat infection, and skin contact can cause irritation and burns.

So the next time you want to buy a cleaning product you’ll think twice before the purchase and carefully read the label. Since most commercial products used in their composition chlorine (sodium hypochlorite), you must make a careful selection and to replace these products with less harmful (no chlorine), especially if your skin is sensitive / allergic or you have children. Or why not turn to healthy and efficient solutions that your grandmother used to clean the house?

Four non-toxic cleaning ingredients

As I said, you can find in your house some lemons, vinegar, baking soda and a bottle of essential oil. Here are four simple ingredients in multi-purpose cleaning.

Lemon juice
-Removes limescale
-Removes grease
-Cleans and disinfects the tub
-Prepare a mixture of lime juice and sodium bicarbonate
-Cut a lemon in half, sprinkle baking soda on a clean piece bathroom, kitchen and dishes
-Mix 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1/2 teaspoon with 1/4 cup of olive oil and vinegar (optional) to get a dust and polishing cleaning solution for your furniture. So you can make more solution and  pour it into a sprayer and apply it on a paper towel before you  wipe.
-If you mix 1/2 cup lemon juice in 1 liter of hot water with bleach you will get perfect white socks and underwear. Do not use this mixture for silk.

Distilled white vinegar
Destroys mold, bacteria, germs due to the acidity level
Removes grease, disinfects and removes unpleasant odors
Mix in a sprayer half vinegar and half water to have a universal solution for almost anything: tub, toilet bowl, sink, countertop, tiles, kitchen appliances, stove, refrigerator. If you can’t stand  the smell of vinegar add a little lemon juice to diminish it. Remember that the smell of vinegar disappears when completely dries.

Windows cleaning solution  if you mix 3 tablespoons vinegar 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional) and 2 cups hot water
If you add 1/2 cup of vinegar instead of fabric softener you can be sure you will not have allergic reactions if you have sensitive skin.
Mix 1/2 cup vinegar in 1 liter of water and add a few drops of lemon essential oil to wash your wood flooring.
Do not use vinegar to clean marble surfaces.

Baking soda
Successfully replaces any scouring powder
Removes unpleasant odors from the refrigerator: Sprinkle baking on a saucer, put in the refrigerator and keep it there for a month. Then you can change it.

Mix 3 tablespoons baking with 1 liter of water and wash the glasses, anything made of stainless steel (not aluminum), plastic or porcelain
Use a sponge dipped in water and sprinkled with bicarbonate to clean the entire bathroom. Besides it unclogs pipes: pour in every week, 4 tablespoons of baking soda, a little vinegar and then rinse with hot water.
To clean the shower curtain, fill the tub, pour baking soda and let it soak for a few hours.

The essential oil of lavender or lemon
It can be successfully used to remove mold
Mix 1 teaspoon of essence oil with 2 cups of water, put in a container and spray the affected area.
You can mix a cup of vinegar with 10 to 15 drops of lemon essential oil and a little water to get a windows cleaning solution.
If you do not want to give up chlorine, Ana Culcer pediatrician, head of the Bucharest Municipal Hospital neonatologist recommends you to:

Clean and disinfect products without sodium hypochlorite (chlorine) areas of the house with which children come into direct and toys, or tray;
Ventilate the rooms where you have cleaned your objects / surfaces with chlorine-based products;
Read carefully the instructions on the product labels and rinse thoroughly cleaned surfaces, where it is specified by the manufacturer;
Avoid using sprays to clean and disinfect that can give off chlorine vapor in the atmosphere very dangerous for children;
Avoid mixing of sodium hypochlorite (chlorine) with other glassware containing ammonia or strong acids because chemical reactions can take place and that  leads to the release of dangerous gases (chlorine).
