I love the look of stainless steel appliances in a kitchen. Let me rephrase that. I love the look of clean stainless steel appliances in kitchens.
I have tried many products for cleaning the fingerprints, smudges and water spots off of the appliance fronts.
Unfortunately, I have found that they don’t all do what they promise, and despite my best efforts, I find myself face to face with a dirty-looking refrigerator or stove.
So, while searching for a homemade solution to my dilemma, I came across a single ingredient stainless steel cleaner… EVOO. Okay, it doesn’t have to be Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Any olive oil will do.
Using oil to remove grime? As strange as it sounded, I thought I may as well give it a try. It wasn’t going to cost me anything. I am so glad I did.
All you have to do is put a little olive oil on a paper towel and wipe the surface with the grain.
You may have to use a little “elbow grease” to get the smudges off. Going over it with a clean cloth afterward really makes it shine.
The result is a shiny, sparkly, smudge-free appliance you can be proud to show off.
