Solutions of first resort
Creams and gels containing benzoyl peroxide are your first solution. They work by mildly irritating the skin, peeling and a cleansing pores. In addition, this substance kills bacteria that live in the pores, causing infection.
Alpha -hydroxy acids (AHAs), including glycolic, strip the skin of its outer layer, helping to cleanse the pores and prevent clogging acid. Choose a cream, a lotion or a gel consisting of 8 % glycolic acid.
