We received a nice bit of sleet during the night, I will be interested to see how much snow we have when I get up! Memphis is not one to get a lot of snow, the most we’ve had since I’ve lived here was during my first winter when we had at least 7 inches but my memory escapes me so I could be wrong (it was a lot though). Today I have a leather geometric earrings DIY that is so simple, you could make these in 20 minutes!
Leather Geometric Earrings DIY
- 2 colors of Leather (you can use pleather too)French hooks (2)
- Jump rings (4)
- Jewelry pliers (2 pairs)
- 1/16th Inch hole punch (this one is my favorite)
- Heavy duty scissors like fabric scissors
You’re going to cut two different sizes of triangles out of the leather: one size from one color and the other size out of the other color. Cut your smaller triangles out first (I eyeballed it), cut one and use it as a guide for the second. You want the bottoms of all four triangles to be the same width so they fit nicely together. Use the small triangle bottoms as a guide to start the bottom your larger triangles (make these the same width as the little triangles but longer/taller).
Turn all four pieces of leather over to the suede side and make four marks on the leather as shown and punch them carefully with the hole punch.
Twist open your jump rings and attach the small and large triangle together and close the jump rings. At the top of the large triangle punch a hole for the French hook (you might need to snip the tip of the triangle point to allow the leather to swing freely). Twist open the French hook, attach it to the leather and close.
Now they’re ready to wear!
