There are reasons that can cause anxiety, the most frequent being money, health, work, family, love. You become anxious, worried, irritated, continuously upset. Of course, you can opt for medications to get rid of this condition, but there are so many natural proven ways that can help you forget about this health problem.
If your heart is beating fast, you breathe rapidly and you think that your mind is going to blow up… stop and relax! If your state of anxiety has just started, better avoid medications and try to calm down and take a break from everything. You can try instead mind-body techniques and calming teas or supplements. Some of them prove their efficiency immediately, others influence gradually.
Chamomile tea is probably the most popular natural remedy against anxiety. This is because some substances found in chamomile are related to the same brain receptors like drugs similar to Valium. Chamomile can be also taken as supplement. Researchers have demonstrated that it really works, so give it a try!
The Japanese Buddhist monks drank much green tea, and then were able to meditate for hours. Probably, this is because the amino acid named L-theanine, present in green tea. This amino acid slows down the heartbeats and decreases the blood pressure, these ones being some symptoms of anxiety.
Although it is present in beer, a brew won’t calm us. The tranquilizing compound in hops represents a volatile oil, which you could usually find in extracts and tinctures. You can find it combined with hops, chamomile, and lemon balm.
Lemon balm is a herb used at least since the Middle Ages against stress and anxiety. However, it is not recommended to take a too high dose of lemon balm. You can have it in the form of tea, capsule, and tincture, combined with hops, chamomile, and Valerian.
Besides herbs, physical exercises can be beneficial in the case of anxiety as well. It is considered that the exercises are good for the brain and are effective for a long period. Workouts help your body look better and thus your self-esteem increases and you also become healthier. The aspect of your body and poor health are definitely some reasons that may cause anxiety.
7.The 21-minute cure
Studies show that exactly 21 minutes has to last our workout if we want to get rid of anxiety. It does not matter what exercises you prefer to do, just do it! If you are not interested in physical exercises, take a 20-30-minute walk.
Like in the case of Valerian, this herb has been approved by the German Government for nervous restlessness. 10.Hold your breath!
Yoga breathing is one of the best remedies for anxiety and stress. There is a classic yoga breathing technique which could be useful to you. It is called 4-7-8 breath. So, exhale completely through your mouth, count to four and inhale through nose. Hold your breath until you continue to count to seven and let it out slowly through mouth at eight. Repeat the technique at least two times per day.
An anxiety attack may mean that blood sugar is decreasing. It can appear when you are hungry. The best solution is to have a snack that comprises some walnuts, or some dark chocolate.
